isn't it crazy how much we are all so dramatically affected by someone's looks. i had this image in my mind of what he looked at while I was reading blue like jazz....and then i saw a picture of him as i was half way through reading the book. i will admit that i looked at him differently. it really bothered me because i was still really engaged by what he had to say - - - and yet i could tell that my perceptions of him had changed after i saw what he physically looked like.
i thought it was pretty substantial representation of how i can judge people by their appearances or how i can associate a particular image of a person by the way they write (or speak.) i have to say that i was really bothered by this and i didn't like that i could tell i was almost listening to him from a different perspective.
i would say that thankfully i was aware of this change and so i conciously tried to counteract my feelings...but i was a little messed up because I had always thought that to a certain degree that I was above this type of activity...... i guess not so as much as I would have liked

Yeah on the Romeo and Julietness of Don Miller, and Rudy when I first saw him I was like uhhh I don't know if I want to marry him, but one of my friends I was sitting with called me shallow so I guess that challenged my shallowness. However I was discussing with one of my friends if I could/should still marry him...and my friend said that he wasn't good enough for me- Ha Ha! He's just a writer and that's it lacking some motivation according to my friend- plus I really can't marry him because he's dating some one right now- some girl with a 7 yr old kid, so Don Miller is no longer on my list of men to marry, but Booty go for it.
