Life continues past the months of June, July, and August and so must the counselors of Day Camp.

Let's do this:

So have ya got twenty free minutes Thursday night? TiVo Smallville and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition because this is better: Jeopardy is holding its online test at 8:00PM.

Score big on a set of fifty questions, a new one flashing at ya grill every fifteen seconds, and you get invited for an audition. Go here. Register. Get ready.

Figure out whether you're more scared of scoring dipstick low or of scoring high enough to hit the big time. Then get over it. It'll be fun. I know Fish and Jav, our egotestical braintrust, will get in on this. Who else?

I work from 6:15 to 8:15. So, alas, I'm out.

Egotistical? No man - just confident.

Since the braintrust has already been founded unbeknownst to its members - anybody else want in?

And I'm off to register as we speak.

If there's any commodity I don't have in abundance, it's time. Just aspiring to use it better than I did yesterday.

PS: I want to add a little bit of a wussy disclaimer - we play Jeopardy in my apt. along with the tv show, and I'm not any good. Trivia doesn't happen to be my thing.

(This is me sandbagging so that when I don't do well I am not as embarassed, and if I do ok it is 'better than expected'. All about managing expectations.)

From the Jeapardy site:

After the Test
The tests will be graded. Whether you pass or not, JEOPARDY! never reveals actual test scores.

.... and on the FAQ page -

Will I receive my test results?
No. The only way you will know if you passed the test is if you are contacted by a member of the JEOPARDY! contestant department.

So how are we supposed to know how we did and compete with one another? :(

-that's right I made a sad face-
