Life continues past the months of June, July, and August and so must the counselors of Day Camp.

JEMS clip show

Come for the nostalgia. Stay for:
  • Who and Frodo's mohawks. One's looks kinda slick. The other's looks like a woodland creature took a sexual interest in his scalp. You decide.
  • Elizabeth, who obsessed over me constantly in 2002, who forgot me for Frodo in 2003, and who in 2006 can only a manage a "hi" when she sees me. B----.
  • Dash, looking for a high five from a second grader and getting blown off.
  • Nova, doing her best Bruin impression.
  • A brief glimpse of Junco.

Lucky for you guys, video is kinda my job here. Not a problem supplying a weekly fix.

And yeah, the name thing trips some up more than others. Marcos last week had a kind of minor meltdown in the fieldhouse. I'm sure he still thinks I'm someone who just looks a lot like Gator.

"Faint muffling" - I like that, Bro.

And something about the line, "I only have one name now" is utterly heartbreaking and - would I were the type to get all sentimental, etc. - would probably be the perfect summation for the former day camp set w/r/t the adjustment to the real world. Maybe it's time for an DC alumni sweatshirt.

Ha ha that's funny because as Dot was getting reaquainted with Gidget, who she counseled long ago, I leaned over to Who and said, "If I ever get old enough to meet a kid I counseled, I'll put a bullet in my brain." Way to hang in there, Corker!

You know, the way I look at it, we have left such a legacy and such an uplifting impact on our campers, they have no choice but to follow in our footsteps. Take that bullet Gator!

It sounds as if Ali has been picking up on the insult techniques of the junior highers she's been working with - glad to see it's paying off.

Wait. I don't get it. Are you being sarcastic, Snaps, thinking that I was being sarcastic? Cause I wasn't. Just curious.

p.s. > blasted tone-deaf internet.

I didn´t think Dot was old enough to be gidget´s councelor. That can´t be right. becuase Dot was dating a guy from my church who I remember having a crush on when I was younger. Unless I too am pretty old.
Dan, that was fun to see.
And I´m not sure you should reveal your real name. It´s kind of like seeign the Easter Bunny smoking behind the mall on his break.
