some news...

so... i might've had a rather large event take place in my life recently...
i'm engaged! it was an amazing night, and if you care to hear all about it, the story is below :)


the dirt:
danny and i went up to seattle to visit friends, when the last night i was there i got a phonecall telling me to get dressed up... danny was going to come pick me up for a date! he brought me an enormous bouquet with amazing flowers from pike's place public market, we took prom-style pictures and we were on our way...

we were walking towards the surprise restaurant when danny stops at this pink door in this crazy but cute alleyway and says "this is it." it turned out to be this really cool restaurant called, cleverly enough, "the pink door."

after eating and drinking and enjoying ourselves there we walked the city and took pictures everywhere we went. we stopped and read a chapter of the book of the bible we're reading through. after this, we drove up to kerry park, this amazing overlook that is pretty much any and every nighttime postcard you've ever seen (or haven't seen) of seattle. it was amazing... space needle, the harbor, the city skyline... perfect. danny gave me a love letter (yeahhh....) and then proceeded to get down on one knee and propose.

camera's were everywhere, and it turned out that the creepy guy i thought was filming me really was.

it was a really cool night and i know i'm late posting it-- it happened monday, but unfortunately, the rest of my week has been a very busy hell. so, sorry about that... anyway, had to share it with my dc family!
