Life continues past the months of June, July, and August and so must the counselors of Day Camp.

Next Summer

I talked with Roger today. Good news. Next summer will be the first that we will be using the Green Bridge above the Creach in 15 years. Get ready to get even more excited! Next summer will be premiering the boats. Which begs the question; what did we add in the activities rotation to replace boats?

train day. Boats is only used as a day camp activity for guest group weeks. I used to do boats when i was a camper for EV FREE guest group week. Guest group weeks have an extra day of day camp thus a need for an extra rotation spot.

I used to do boats during regular weeks - that's right: 'fore train day was even around. Ditto for Jayber. We's old souls, y'all.

I thought that we added in Creach Day to fill in for boats. Maybe I'm wrong. It's been so long that I've conditioned myself to work without boats.

Holy cow, boats were sooo much fun. I think I was more impatient than the kids to get out on the water. Chachi and I used to tell a story about a creach monster ... heh, we had our timing down so pat, one of us knocking the aluminum boat at just the right moment and all ... we had a kid sobbing one time. Awww geez ... great times.

Factoids:

>Mrs. P. was created after 1985 and before 1992.

>The Trees are the only original piece of "architecture" from the original Newton.

>Boogie's creekwalking shoes aren’t Boogie's. Not originaly anyway. They first belonged to an older counselor first by the name of Teddy back in 1985. (At least I'm pretty sure that was her name).

>The King has been/ will be known as King Meyer in my Sparticus stories to the kids.

Ok, maybe that last one was more of a shout out.

There really isn't a right place for this nonsense. I just thought it was really really funny on account'a I wish Pedro, Napoleon, and all their indie tee-shirt-wearing groupies would step on the same huge rake and die from tetanus.

And I wanted to share.

What with the return of Castle Craze / Tribal Scramble / whatever, the re-christening of Mt. Hermon's rowboat fleet, and the grand opening the McAfee Fieldhouse, this next summer's gonna be HOT.

Oh I feel it. "Bring me Tuesday's shoe"! The 7 year old responds, "But she won't give it too me". "...Then take it by force"! The child sighs and runs off to do my bidding. Muhahahahaha!

Yes, the craze is on!

hey, Hey! Hang on a sec. Gator I trust that you know I don't have a crush on your girlfriend. Tuesday your one of my best friends, you know that. I love and cherish you both.

Rudy and Fish, shame on you! Gator's my boy. And Tuesday is like a sister to me.

And come on Rudy, you remember when everyone thought I had a crush on you? That wasn't fun. Let's not open up that bag of worms!

Your PLATONIC friend,

who deleted their comment - I'm just curious who it is that's nervous about posting round here

i'm just afraid that i'm making enemies rather than friends right about now.

I *heart* all of you (incl. spidey - even if he has a crush on G8R's gf - that's something you're going to need to take up with him though)

I dub myself: pot-stirrer

Spidey, the only difference between this supposed crush with tuesday and rudy is that the Tuesday crush may be a fling but when everyone was talking about you and Rudy, you really did have a crush on her.

Miss you all!
