SoCal Trip

This is Matt and I after I missed the turn to highway 101. In short we had to take the 1 most of the way down. Nice view, but I'll never do it again.



This is Hula and I making Halloween cookies. Not being a fan of the holiday Hula thought it better to make "holy ghosts".



I took this in Hula's hallway. Isn't she cute? Who wouldn't want to be a MILK or a-wrist-shaw partner with her back at camp?



Tuesday was bummed that the princess outfit was a few sizes too small.



I just thought it would make my butt look big.



I'm in the back sporting DC 02.



Then we met the man...er mouse. Matt flipped out, I felt bat for Mickey. (That is until I remembered the first time I met the mouse, then I understood.)

Welcome to Nova's Wildlife show...

So I know that most of you have spent most of you lives in civilized areas, I on the other hand live in the middle of nowhere and I just thought you might enjoy seeing some of the wildlife I see between Orland and Chico on a daily basis. So here it goes, Nova's wilderness animal repot:

Sighting number 1: An old biker in purple spandex (funny? yes. wrong? yes. unwilling to pose for a photograph? unfortunatly, yes.

Sighting number 2: A turkey, stalking me, all day long, at my window...creepy I know. (he made homework impossible)

There you have it, a little boring, a little weird but hey! it's not every day you folks see a turkey that isn't sitting on your dinner table!

The Little Things

Sometimes I think to myself, "Boy, life is too busy" but then I realize that God is Awesome (last part said loudly with a grungy voice). Check out this note left on my door, it only took twenty minutes of leaving the room for my guys to tag it with yet another interesting list. What would you do for a dollar?

some news...

so... i might've had a rather large event take place in my life recently...
i'm engaged! it was an amazing night, and if you care to hear all about it, the story is below :)


the dirt:
danny and i went up to seattle to visit friends, when the last night i was there i got a phonecall telling me to get dressed up... danny was going to come pick me up for a date! he brought me an enormous bouquet with amazing flowers from pike's place public market, we took prom-style pictures and we were on our way...

we were walking towards the surprise restaurant when danny stops at this pink door in this crazy but cute alleyway and says "this is it." it turned out to be this really cool restaurant called, cleverly enough, "the pink door."

after eating and drinking and enjoying ourselves there we walked the city and took pictures everywhere we went. we stopped and read a chapter of the book of the bible we're reading through. after this, we drove up to kerry park, this amazing overlook that is pretty much any and every nighttime postcard you've ever seen (or haven't seen) of seattle. it was amazing... space needle, the harbor, the city skyline... perfect. danny gave me a love letter (yeahhh....) and then proceeded to get down on one knee and propose.

camera's were everywhere, and it turned out that the creepy guy i thought was filming me really was.

it was a really cool night and i know i'm late posting it-- it happened monday, but unfortunately, the rest of my week has been a very busy hell. so, sorry about that... anyway, had to share it with my dc family!

So tonight....

Barack Obama is coming to Rhode Island to do a couple fundraisers for Sheldon, and apparently, we might get to meet him afterwords. He's supposed to do a little "pep talk" for us back at the office, and I'm going to be star-struck. For everyone who doesn't know who he is:

This is my favorite person in American politics - he could be our president someday. I was so giddy this morning I could spit. Just thought I would share a little bit of my nerdiness with the rest of you since I haven't really done much in terms of telling everybody what I've been up to. That's all.

yeah...you make us jealous with all your little get togethers in socal- well it's a new day in the northwest- daff and i got together now you all are welcome to come up here and join in on some washington/canada love.

What do I do? I come to you with a burden. I caught my fourth garter in a row at a wedding with some tall friends, but this time the guys in front of me were at least as tall as Gator. The odds keep getting worse, but I still keep catching it. There is, however, no love in my life. Is this some destiny joke, always a garter, never a groom???

So yea, I had a fun time at my birthday party and I just might of had a little to much fun. Thankyou to you all that wrote me a note and gave it to Rudy to give to me on my birthday. I loved it and it made my day special. So now, lets play a little game called what in the shot glass?

a friend of mine at point loma is planning a toga party (complete with rootbeer kegs) and has asked me for a bit of help... can anyone give me specifics on the rules for the infamous WATER GAME? i am having trouble remembering too much about that night, i blame the loss of electrolytes... thanks!! :)

Just When You Thought Your Life Couldn't Get Any Better:

You got more than six hours of sleep last night, you’ve never been happier about your hair (or lack-there-of, if you're Spidey), your roommate bought you coffee, and your current flavor of the week definitely looked at you when you "accidently" bumped into them. Wait, now you’re telling me that I have a friend that is (practically) a movie star? Shut up.


Ya, that's right. Next Tuesday (and you think your life is perfect– word) , you hotties in the southern area of CA can tune into channel 9 (KCAL) at 1800 and find out what the most expensive part on my body is. Ya– I know. I dare you.

Okay, so it’s just Family Feud. And we lost. But-come-on.

Episode 06-033, for those of you not cool enough to live southernly. You can call your local cable provider if you’re bored and you need a cheep laugh. I heard there is some way to find out on-line too, at www.familyfeud.tv , but I can’t figure it out.

(There’s a repeat showing of it on November 11, on CSB, channel 2 at 0900, for my southern California friends that just can’t get enough of me)
